About/Contact

murderingmouth is a website by some nerd from San Francisco who chronicles various fun bits of economic doom and has an obsession with dysfunctional urban environments and wishes people wouldn’t judge him based solely on his comments in their blog. He enjoys making new friends even if his web site makes him look like one of the most unpleasant people who ever existed. He does not, strangely, enjoy talking about himself in the third-person, so he’ll stop now.

I was born to a city in central California that I like slightly less every time I return. I’ve spent most of my adult life in a marriage of convenience with San Francisco, with whom I learn to get along a little better every morning we wake up together. I tried twice to elope with North Carolina (Charlotte and Winston-Salem) but we were both sort of bitchy to each other so at this time we are doing a trial separation. My new romantic tryst is with Pittsburgh, with which I enjoy weekend-long encounters every few weeks. Pittsburgh and I are contemplating an open relationship, since I have been flirting with Toronto a lot lately, though Toronto and I are still platonic for now.

I graduated from high school when I was 16, did undergraduate work in Geography because it seemed easy, and graduate work in Political Science because it seemed easier than finding a job. Eventually I needed money so I became a bookkeeper for my Dad’s small manufacturing business. I began corresponding with a rather popular weblogger who eventually became my long-term travelling partner, and picked up an moved in with him in 2002. At that time, I also landed what has pretty much been my job ever since, as a financial/accounting professional with a Silicon Valley tech company.

My political and philosophic views are becoming more scattered these days as I realize we’re all part of the matrix. I’m still trying to decide which pill to take. This is making my posts harder to read, but I’m sure you can handle it.

I maintain at a minimum that no politicians, corporations or organizations are good enough to run the whole show, but right now most large and powerful entities are doing a real good job playing the masses against one another whilst they harvest our precious fluids. My generation will probably witness energy shortages as fossil fuels pass peak production, and this will probably happen at the same time that most of the industrialized world is more in debt than ever, probably resulting in sovereign default of the US, most of Europe, and Japan. The 21st century will be the story of how various societies around the world recover from these occurrences.
